big turbo upgrade
Not entirely, it is a twinscroll/t4 with all v-band. On 2 liter engines full spool is before 5k.
Now with 2.7 it should see full boost around 4700 rpms. And with a built head, I will have a 8500 redline. On top of that, it will have more power than k04 car before it even hits full boost.
There is no such thing as lag if you can drive it properly.

josh, no need to worry about "blowing up" your trans. the autos can actually handle more power than the manual. the part that fails is the TC. Upgrade that, and you can go big, real big. I am even starting to rethink putting the time into swapping the transmission, the cost isn't bad at all, I am just beginning to think it may not be worth the potential loss in reliability... after lots of research i have learned that the TIP is the stronger transmission, just has a weak point, the TC (much like the clutch of the 6spd.) The 6spd also has problems with the syncros, mostly 1st - 2nd. but those guys running big numbers are going thru clutches, and have other gearing issues much more than the guys running big number TIPs.
A TIP will never be as fast b/c of the weaker gear and inability to launch, but if you have your TC rebuilt for about 800 bucks, you will be very reliable, more so than the 6spd.

Eeeh no way man.
People even have Level 10 upgraded trannys and still have issues. Manual trannys can handle a lot more power than auto's before they start running into issues.
Ask guys like Frimmel and Skydive about their auto and built transmissions.

True, L10 has had their issues, and a lot of their customers complain. But I have seen guys dump thousands of dollars in to their transmissions and still have issues.
Manual setups have to worry about clutches and the occasional 1-2 synchro problems, which isn't an issue if you know how to drive.

I am not entirely sure if we plan to just sell manifolds, as opposed to the entire kit. The thing is, it just can't be any turbo. You gotta rock a T4 flange/twin scroll turbo, as that is what the manifolds are setup for. On top of that, downpipe sizes may vary depending on the size of the hotside.
I'd imagine a manifold + downpipe would be around 2500-3000 total.
