Blowoff valve????????
I just got a 98 S4 recently and am wondering if there is a blowoff valve that won't negativly affect my engine. i've been reading posts and some say that you shouldn't put it on and some say that you should. What should i do?
I think this week is national blow off valve week, i've seen this question on here in atleast 3 different posts, audi's can't do the bov thing, unless your running stand alone. That is metered air you'd be losing with a bov, the engine ecm has calculated fuel for that air, and if you expell it...your going to get backfires, C.E.L., i've seen some that say audi/vw safe and vent part of the intake charge. I'm not sure about there, never really seen a post saying they work well, your still losing metered air so I'm sure it's not going to run real well.
If its sound you want, then keep your current setup or do DV upgrades (Bailey's or Forge) and get these:

j/k, someone told me about these things and I googled it and its true! they make BOV sound generators!!

people people people, If searching is too much for you, I understand. If moving your wrist to scroll down to see the 15 blow off valve posts that came before yours is too strenuous of an activity, get a mouse with a scroll ball. But, the sad sad fact is that there is no searching involved, no! Not even scrolling through a page plays a roll in this game, no! All the blow off valve posts are at the top of the forum! That being said, I run 4 blow off valves no problem; go for it!
