I've recently bought a vent boost gauge from AWE tuning. It fits nice and works great !
But im wondering if the numbers im getting are showing underperformance or if they
showing OK. I have a 2001.5 S4 B5 with GIAC X chip, Forge DV and ...
After a few runs the best im getting is 8 psi of boost. (temp was 15 F) Are those numbers
OK or ...

Well if oyu have a giac chip it should be peaking at around 18-16, and tapering off to like 11-12 if im not mistake, so you may have a boost leak. Chech your TBB for a tear...

 

Im not sure but i like your rims where did you get them and what kind are they? Sorry for no help im also a noob but i hear the boots tear easy so yeah i would check that

 

1st i've check today for leaks with a test unit like the one AWE tuning sells and
result was no leaks. TBB is new SAMCO. I also send an email to AWE tuning for
number i should be getting and they are agree with scarzie, it should be 16-19 and
they tell me that my chip is probably on safety mode, it should be the reson why
im getting these numbers. Check engine light is off, so ... I dont no. + who do i
get the chip on normal mode if its the problem ?
2nd for CarCrazy9229 my wheels are TSW Catalunia Cromed 19 in.
