BOV vs. DV vs BPV
Hey all, im curious what (if any) is the difference between a BOV/BPV/DV and which one is best for my stock b5 s4. I dont think they have ever been replaced, so they are bpv's right now? Is there any advantage to dv's even if the engine stays stock or should i just replace them with the bpv's from the TT?

RE: BOV vs. DV vs BPV
BPV and DV are the same thing. BOV = bad for your car. (BOVs will make your car run rich, get you laughed at in a wal-mart parking lot, and decrease your chances of getting laid but thats for another thread.)
710N from the TT or 710P will work just fine and are cheap.

RE: BOV vs. DV vs BPV
the bov dumps air that usually is going to the engine into the atmosphere. The point in which it is released is after the MAF sensor, so the engine thinks it is getting the amount of air being measured by the MAF. Since it is getting less air than it thinks, the air/fuel ratio is thrown off, giving the engine more fuel than it is supposed to have, thus the rich mixture.
Correct me on anything im wrong at, but im almost pos. that is the jist of it.
