Got the used brain, come to find out, that it is chipped by MTM. there was an mtm sticker on it and i called them down in florida to get some info. still waiting on an engine speed sensor, with the gray clip. didn't even need the brain. should have trusted my instincts and tools instead of the 2 mechanics that said it needed a brain. But i got a brain that is chipped, so, WTF........got to find the absolute leading authority on the 1995 S6. someone who really knows their tradecraft.

 

just a heads up, brain = ECU.

 

i have a urs6 as well it hasn't been a fun adventure ill take that mtm ecu off your hands maybe if you dont want it where did you get your ecu flashed?

 

when your lil sis owns a garage and she says ecu= brain, you dont argue with the technical jargon, you go along, and get the family discount on parts, answers to questions. so my philosphy on it is, one either gets along or gets along. her mechanic dont like audi's or subarus. so i am on my own with it. except for here, i am not alone.
