The quality of the exhaust looks good. I do know that they can be somewhat shady on other parts. They used to sell under XSPower 3 years ago and they screwed a bunch of people with leaky intercoolers and turbos that blew after 100 miles. Setting that aside I will be ordering this exhaust since it is soooo cheap and you cant go wrong with mandrel bent piping even if you will have to replace the mufflers with magnaflow later.

If any of you guys read through the audizine post, so many people are complaining about how their welds aren't perfect, blah blah blah. For $275 + $75 shipping, that is a KILLER deal. Their welds don't have to be perfect, as long as they work.
These look to be fantastic bang for buck, especially when AWE sells downpipes for $1,600 + $1,000 for their cat-back. That's just ridiculous. You could buy 5 of the SSAutochrome catbacks and downpipes and it'll cost slightly more than 1 set of just AWE downpipes.
Insane. Absolutely Insane.
I don't doubt the quality of AWE's parts at all, but paying more than $1000 for a set of downpipes is crazy, especially when the alternatives are this and piggies. I hope AWE revises it's pricing. If I bought downpipes + exhaust from AWE, they would cost me 24% of what I payed for the WHOLE car!
Someone should post a review of these once they get them installed. Some sound clips would be nice too. Looks like there is finally an alternative to $700+ cat-backs.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH + AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THEY ARE OUT OF STOCK ???? MY A$$$$ the people on audizine say this is a shady dealer I was reading the whole way through their forums and came to that conclusion.... CRAP

I don't think anyone said the exhaust was shady. The people who ordered them got then within a week. Some of their other parts, IE turbos and manis are shady, but I mean, I wouldn't trust that. They finally replied and said that they are ready to ship, so idk what happened. I placed another order, we'll see what happens this time.

eager to hear about what happens cause i plan on getting some too. i will have my piggies on in two weeks, so i will just use there cat-back on that and possibly sell the downpipes. keep me posted on the situation, i hope it all works out with those who have already ordered them.

AWE is not the only source for downpipes. A whole bunch of companys make downpipes for the s4, most priced very similarly, AWE is right where i would expect them. Milltek is at $1700 as well, APR is $1500, ASP is $1550, forget factory RS4 ($3000), MTM cant be cheap either.

Cars depreciate, when you receive your DP's they wont have 87k miles on them. While yeah thats a nice little tid-bit of information its really irrelevant. K04's cost half as much as your car. So?

I, personally, am willing to pay $1500+ for my downpipes. I feel that most reputable DP's are priced in this range for a reason. If you can design, test, and manufacture the same product resulting in the same gains for less than im sure this discussion would not be happening right now.
DP's and Exhaust for $275+shipping makes me uneasy. I payed that more than that for my DTS! My shifter was nearly that much!
From my experience, if it sounds too good to be true. It usually is.

OK hear is the deal .......... I talked to the guys at SSAutocrome shop. They refuned your money cause they are out of stock and over booked for 30 days so they gave back the money. It is just what they do so they dont have so much on back order, cause everyone and there mom wants on for christmas right now. They said it will slow down mid Jan if you want to try again. Or you can keep at it till they jsut take your order. Hope this helps you guys all out
