Default Bumper Alignment...

So last night my wife was in such a rush to go to work that when she started the car and assumed it was in reverse and not 1st!! So goes foward and hits the wall in the garage and put some nice holes in the brand new sheetrocking in the brand new garage of the brand new house. So, it did no damage to the car, but the 2 side inserts on the grill fell out and now i can not but them back in so it all lines up. how do align the front bumer so that the inserts will go back in?

2000 S4. My wife hit the wall in the garage with the front of the car. Did no visible damage. When she hit the wall she put the liscence plate threw the sheet rocking of the wall and the 2 bumper insert on the grille, where the fog lights are, came off. I can not get them back in. they will not fit. So how do you re-align the front bumper? sorry no pics, I was way to pissed off to even think about taking a picture.

you just jam those suckers right back in. Ill check in a few minutes too see of the clips require you to put one side in first but iv never had any problem.

I hit a fox and the solid vertical pieces between the center lower grill and lower side grills both snapped, the grills popped out, a few pieces of the bottom of the bumper were ripped off, and i had hair on my DTS. All on the way to work at 2 am.

Yeah I tried jamming them back, but the top left corners will not fit in like they should. It's very frustrating because i have no ieda why they will not fit in, She must have hit something to make it all out of wack in the bumper. That aluminum bar the is mounted in the bumper looks like it has a dent in it, so maybe straighten that out? or take it out?

yeah , i would look at maybe the bumper got pushed back some look at the wheel wells and see if they match up. if not you need to unscrew two HUGE screws (hex) under the bumper where those inserts pop out. once you do that get a big flat head and pop off the bumper, dont worry feels like you will brake it but you wont, there is a write up on apr site for snub mount jsut look at taking the bumper off only. once you have the bumper off you will see what is the hold up also look at the plastic side clips the align it with the wheel well. I had to take mine off(the plastic part) and use a rubber hammer(on the metal part on the car still) to bend it back some so it lined up better.
