Default a/c evaporator drain hose...where?

Hey forum,

My 2000 S4 drips a lot of water from under the dash, passenger side, when the a/c is on. The panel covering it is all one piece with the glove box and does not look easy to remove so I can see where it's dripping from. I read posts from others with same problem, and consensus is that the evaporator drain tube gets clogged, but can be unclogged by running a coat hanger up it from under the car. I can't find drain tube anywhere. Can anyone help me out? Maybe it's something else making it drip...any advice?

THNX

Default RE: a/c evaporator drain hose...where?

I found exactly where the water is coming from by feeling under the plastic cover. It feels like a foam ring where two plastic components come together. There's a very small amount of play in one of the pieces, so maybe they are not clamped tightly together because all the water feels like it's coming through the lowest part of the foam. But even if the two pieces are not tightly clamped together, it seems that the watercould be backed up for it to pour out like it does. I didn't notice any dripping of water under the car, so all must be coming inside.

I tried using a mirror to look up in there, but can't see worth a dang. I feel like cutting the plastic cover. Any suggestions before I start hacking?
