Default Caliper Size

I am looking at somet RS4 reps and on ebay this seller (store) has them but says they won't fit the A6 or allroad 2.7T because they have larger calibers, but will fit A4/A6/S8/S6/TT 93-05. I was wondering what size calibers does the 2000 S4 have. Are they the same size as the A6 2.7T?

Caliber is a type of measurement. caliper is what your looking for...

And yes, the S4 has bigger calipers than most and is tough to find wheels.. look for offsets int he +35-38 range.

Yeah... I just noticed I put the b in.

It's pretty much not likely for me to find a stock size (17x7.5) RS4 rep that will fit right? I found an 18x8.5 that RS4 rep with a 35mm offset, but then I have to get new tires... and I have fairly new ones. Any sites that specialize in aftermarket S4 rims or have many of them?

I can find Chrome 17x7.5's that fit (35mm offset) but not in hypersilver. Found some 18.8.5's with a 35mm so I may just go that route, they are actually only slightly more expensive, but I would have to get new tires... so we will see.

That's what I am leaning towards, especially when I powdercoat them dark gray or black. Plus a 9 inch tire wouldn't be bad.

18x9 most likely wont fit... It is possible.. but you will probably be rubbing, youd need to roll your fenders..id stick to 8.5

well the tires go by mm.. i.e. 235/40/18 or something of the ilk. so 235 is your width in mm. wouldnt go above that to avoid rubbing.

Couldn't I put a 225 on an 8.5 as well.

Why can't the fricken things all be in one style of measurement.
