Default Cheaper Short throw?

Is there a cheaper short throw..I was looking at the stratmosphere but damn its 275...i would like to keep the push down for reverse. Any ideas? I was thinkin more like 150 or 175

i saw the same one and every1 on the forums told me theat they would buy it and it is equal to the top brands so i have bought it and got it a couple days ago it seems to be nice...but im not that smart with the whol short shifter thing so..when i bring it to my shop to have it installed i will let you know what they say and i will let you know how it is when it is in my car...hoptfully by next week...

I have been told to watch out for those because they mess with the trans. ruins syncros and sliders I believe I heard.

Im with you matt. I just ordered mine. But I wont beable to put it on untill i get my car back. It went in to shop today to get the oil leaks in the turbos fixed.

A lot of a4 guys on the forums run them. They seem pretty decent. I'm thinking about picking one up soon as well.

you check stratmosphere.com lately? i got a $199 shifter for $155 shipped in their end of year sale...

Yes, My boss has about 35 years experience and worked in Audi/Porsche/Mercedes and BMW dealerships up until just a while ago when he bought a shop up here. He said durring the B5 era they were redoing transmissions left and right due to shortshifters blowing out the syncros. I'm not arguing , or snapping at you here. He is just a pretty reliable source and I just thought I would help out.

ok did he tell you specifically this one??? obviously not he said "short shifters" in general....meaning all of them might do it...maybe hes right but he had nothing to say about this specific shortshifter .....
