As usual "you get what you pay for" and i can probably guess that most of you will say stay away from these, but i still want a professional opinion. How do the welds look? how does the design look? Does the quality look good? Your general thoughts, etc.

They stole the design from ASP & AWE.

While they look fine, people who have held them, say they are really thin piping, and are cheap sheet metal, covered in chrome plating.

In the end, no one has really tested them yet. So if you want to, go for it!

However, replacing a leaking exhaust manifold is a PITA, & the motor needs to be dropped to change them out. So if you like to wrench your self it's good.
If you pay a shop to do it, the labor will be 3x the cost of the headers.

my buddy ran one of the same companies headers on his 240sx on an sr20. I can't say he really had any issues with it. I lost it's shinny luster in like 3 days though...pretty much just turned black

I saw these about a week ago, I am stil firm in saying if everyone else is charging $1000.00 for something and one guy is charging less then half, then you have to ask yourself whats wrong with the one guy's product?

Quality is ussually worth it. Doesn't Vast have some headers that are less then $1K?

What kind of gains do you get from ported/polished headers with stock turbos?

I have a set on my car, the welds looked pretty nice. The tubing size is much larger than stock, no issues with cracking etc. Gold/blued color after a couple weeks, and the tubing wasn't too thin. Not up to AWE/ASP standards, but having installed them myself I'd say well worth the money that they cost.

Fitment wasn't perfect, but not bad. Gaskets that came with them are a joke, get a new set of factory copper gaskets and steel 0-rings for the turbos. But no leaks, and definately should outflow stock, the runners are a lot bigger, I'm going to send mine out to get ceramic coated If I don't have any issues with them before my next turbo swap this spring, and they will be far cheaper than anything else and should almost match the ports size on the bigger rs4 or 2.8 heads if going for major engine work. Should have measured the size while I had them off the motor, alas hindsight is 20/20.
