Hey I bought my s4 last monday and I love it. But Im looking for some more power. I have tinted the windows but that all right now. I want to chip it but im not sure which one is the best. I am taking it to the audi dealership next thursday for them to do a normal check up on it to make sure nothing is going to go out on me. Is that what I should do before getting it or should i take it somewhere else and have a full engine check? And I am also wondering what the best chip is for 93 octane bc thats all I run through it. Thanks

 

Also I am wondering what else I should do with it. I have a 1500 to spend. Im thinking a chip will cost around 600. And I am thinking about exhaust but I dont want a ricer sound. Plus I dont know if there is any out there for 900 plus install. Im kinda new at all this. I decided to ask people that knew more about it then just going out and buying what looks good.

good companies are apr, awe(giac), mtm, asp, so on so forth.. theyre all good... get which ever one is closest to you.

Ive looked at the forums and ive been through them but I just feel more comfortable asking the questions myself and getting an answer from people that have done the upgrades. Sorry for reposting

 

yeah..its understandable.. search for the tuners i listed... and find whats close to you..and then talk talk to them see waht they can do for you

 

Should I get an exhaust first before the chip?

 

I am thinking about the apr. Has anyone had any major trouble out of it? I have 82k miles on my s4. Think its too much for it to handle at that many miles?

 

I have hear of troubles with the APR Chips. I have a Giac Chip in my 2001.5 S4. (I love it!) I have 18 psi of boost with little knocking, knocking is the amount of friction that causes vibration that is recorded as knocking. I am In colorado and I have my car fine Tuned to give me High altitude fuel/air mixture.

Revo is a good chip too, but I would be safe and get a GIAC chip.
