Default Cobra VS B5 S4

anybody have any clue as to who would win from a roll or from a dig going to about 1/2 mile or so? lightly modded cobra from 98 or a stage 2 S4?

Depends on what lightly modded is and the drivers, s4 should have it off the line by a ton but the cobra will have more top end if done right.

Most Cobras are quite wicked in the 1/4 (remember there are varients depending on year) - but stock I think most run in the mid 12s just out of the box. I had mya ss handed to me (prior to going Stage 3) by a modded Cobra (with the most wicked supercharger whine I've ever heard). I had him beat by 1-1 1/2 car lengths - even more at first - to about 70 (this was with both of us comming into 2 lane from opposite sides and hitting it - so my AWD grip was even more of an advantage IMO)...at about 70 he walked past me like I was peddling ( I did slightly misss a shift - but it wouldn't have made much difference)...we pulled over at the next light and talked a bit - turned out he also had a chipped B5 S4 (his wife's car!) - but he felt mine was much quicker (its the driver! - well at least in part...). I forgot how much HP he said he had (in the upper 400s?) but his car looked and sounded sharp (exhaust, extra big hood scoop - etc - special paint job - body panels etc) and he said he had modded it extensively. I still think he would pass me up(even at Stage 3)- but maybe not until after 100 (I get to 70 pretty quick now...)

Well correct me if im rong, but lightly modded wouldnt be super charged and isnt the like 01 and newer cobras the only ones that are factory supercharged. and if you race one of those all they need is exhauast and bigger pulleys and they will prolly walk a off the shelf stage 3.

I raced a supercharged 98 mustang and i was dead even with him. we did a roll from 30 up to about 100 and by 110 or so he pulled maybe a foot.

Ok here we go, for some clips the shooting is done from inside my S4. First race is done with the silver cobra (runs 10s and i got oblitorated lol) Next run is me vs the GTO and M coupe (this is where my turbos blew hahahah, so thats why i drop back all of a sudden)

then it goes into "the epic" which is my old mustang vs. my friends stage 2+ jetta

03 and 04 are the only factory supercharged cobras, and they are definately easy to make very fast. A 98 cobra is only a twin cam 4.6 liter and they are pretty much dogs unless heavily modded.
