coldstart s4
When I start my 2004 s4 the engine sounds rough like their is no oil pressure when its turning. It clears up immediately and runs great if you shut the engine off and restart its fine. But if it sits after a while it repeats. The dealership said bigger engines are suppose to do this but still. Im thinking a bad fuel pump?
Sounds like a bad muffler bearing. Could be the timing chain tensioner, or even the variable intake runner valve both of which have been discussed extensively all over the internets. Google is a pretty thing to try sometime. But honestly, its probably the muffler bearing. Dont even drive it until you have it looked at. I would have it towed immediately to the dealer. Tell them to check the muffler bearing.
I took it to the dealership and they replaced a leaky valve gasket that was causing a sparkplug to mis fire, they said it was fine, I just dont think it is, doesn't sound natural. sounds like maybe a bad fuel pump or filter
