I owned a 1995 Honda DelSol. I did soo much to that drivetrain - Jackson Racing super charger, TODA stroker kit (1.8L), TODA springs/valves/retainers, adjustable cam gears, AEM CAI, DC Sports 4-2-1, Tanabe G-power, Tein coil-overs, VAFC-II, blah blah...and of course, an awesome stereo

 

well my point was that EVERY hondaowner that i have talked to or raced thinks that there honda can do the 1\4 mile in 2 seconds. Like the last honda owner i talked to was at speedworld, this kid just put a50 shot on[sm=nxsmile.gif] {keep in mind this was neather a wetshot or a direct port} well him and all his honda buddies were talking and i joined in and listend well it was hard not to laugh. Most weresaying that if he gets his launch right that he might dip 12's.[sm=chairshot.gif]SO after allthe BS he went for arun and what ya know.......nothing happed odd huh?Well the nitrus jet blew out of hisintake............So after fixing the problemby tying a shoelace to the jet and the intakehe made his second run and the turn out was a 13.7 with slicks on a b-16 nothing built and to get that 'low number'he fryed his elertodes on the spark plugs and brokeonemotor mount..... SO im not inpressed with thies cars or there stupid owners.Hope everyone enjoyed this story and keep in mind this REALLY happed lol

 

my story....i sold my highly mods 93 civicand with additional $2gIgot a 00 A4 1.8T...and now i just sold the A4 and got 00 S4 for ale$$ andwith the extra money...i just ordered C O.

but why are we even compare Audi with Honda? Thats not even a fair comparison. The fair comparison would be more of like TL type S, Lexus IS, Infinity...etc...and many of you would agree with me then they are pretty much equal in quality,luxury and well engineered if not better.

all cars are reliable as long as they are well care of...my toyota got 200k since new and sofar i haven't have to fix or change anything yet...not even timing belt(chains belt) beside the basic tune up oils change brakes tires...etc...from my experience german cars resale value doesn't hold as highas japanese cars.Japanese car parts are cheaper then german car parts.And to work on german cars you have to take like 10 things off to get to certain thing vers japanese cars you only have to take off like 5 things....etc....

all i am saying is don't knock it 'till you jock it....i would buy a japanese cars any days... i would buy another Audi any days too...as long as the tb, tie rods, a-arms,oil sealgasket..etc.. all been done.....

 

igone thru2 hondas and still have a 99 accord v6 supercharged. this car has not once broken down on me since buying the car new. the s4 in the other hand has been in and out of the shop. i bought it in dec. of 06. with only 45,000 miles. but true the s4 in performance and looks kills the accord. in reliablity there not that great. but i still enjoy the s4 way better, when its not breaking down.

theyre fun cars easy to work on & you dont have to be a german scientist to
learn how to work on 'em..

buti def agree cars shouldnt be hated its the people behind them.
i like all cars american european japanese but its the people that are annoying american car ppl hate everyother car company its dumb. i espically hate annoying rich kids who have there parents buy them liek 30k cars for their 17th birthday
i belive a car is something someone should work for not jus handed to you.

 

Trust me i believe you.. I know some Honda people can be stupid like that! Kids are like that! Like i said if they could afford an Audi they would do the same thing. "fart pipe" and they would say it does 12s.

Don't dog on Honda and their owners because most of the owners who are on the Audi forums (from what I gathered) are not like that and actually do have a little bit of money to put into a car and (hopefully) will not lie about how fast their car is. The young fart pipe kids are most likely not on the Audi forums. All us Honda owners on these forums DISLIKE those kind of Honda owners.

It really is the owner not the car. You have all seen an Audi that looked completely like a **** ricer. And I know you have all seen a little civic that looked sweet and was done right. I had a 4th gen Prelude before getting my S4. It had all the basic bolt ons i/h/e/pulleys. A high 14 second car was more than adequate for getting around. I don't see how people here are so snobbish and act like Hondas are cheap pieces of crap. I had no problems mechanically with my prelude in the 5 years I owned it. Not to mention I drove that thing hard, revving up to 8k frequently and taking it to the track a few times a year.

Also I had a RS*R exhaust on it which had a nice deep tone and was barely louder than stock. I think I am in the same camp as everyone here that hates the loud *** whiney exhausts people get their imports.
