Some of you may have noticed that one of the lower control arms has a sleeve thats part of the bearing housing. Well that sleeve is now seized to my control arm so it is sqeeking. In order to get rid of this I need to replace the entire bearing housing. The bearing housing is the whole unit that holds the control arms, the hub, and the tie rod end.

I'm paying about $500 for control arms and about $400 in change for the housing. (Im replacing all the control arms)

Just a heads up. look out for that sleeve.

I know the sleeve is on '00 S4's and '01 S4s.

 

haha yup I have already done my control arms. Watch out when you go to put that one bolt that slides in thru the subframe, somehow I got mine pinched in there so badly I coudln't get it out and like an hour later ended up die grinding it out.
