Exclamation DBA slotted rotors, thumbs down.

I was testing something diff so i went with the DBA rotors. Ran them for about 30k and never did any track days or mtn runs. Been working too much . Any way i went to change my pads and i had the rotors tested to see if they were still good. Being that they are slotted you cant realy turn them. Got the numbers back and one was right on the threshold and the other was way out of spec. So i pulled them off and went back to the cross drilled zimmerman (sp?) .

Just a little FYI if your looking at the DBA rotors.

hmmm thats not good.

I have the DBA slotted rotors, probably 15k miles so far and havent noticed any problems. Iv allways heard good things about them, how were they out of spec? Worn too much or warped whats the deal?

I just want mine to last untill i get a BBK

ya thats strange. The OEM brakes have a bad reputation for warping, it is a kinda heavy car afterall. But iv never heard bad things about the DBA's before and i know a bunch of people over on AZ run them. They come highly reccomended as the one of the top aftermarket rotors in every aspect except price. I wonder if its another part of your braking system that could be causing uneven stress on them?

Iv done plenty of hard braking from over 120MPH too, i dont feel any vibration like theyre warped. Like i said ill check mine out in a couple weeks when i start taking my car apart

brembo blanks are the way to go. maybe if you're doing 100+ all the time like you crazy foos then maybe slotted or crossed drilled are the way to go but brembo blanks do the trick and arent horribly expensive

I have steel braided lines all ready and running the super blue fluid. I have always had slotted rotors and this was the only bad set i dealt with. usually i run the brembo as well but i wanted to test others.
