Default door lock help

My passenger's side door lock started doing something weird this weekend: I lock the car, unlock it, and when you pull the passenger's side front door handle, it wont open, it feels like its still locked, there is no resistance at all; however, it only does itthe first time you pull it. If you release it, and pull it a second time, you can feel it catch the door mechanism like normal and the door opens... Has anyone had this issue before, and if so, whats broken/stuck/wearing out?

My A6 used to do the same thing. I actually thought it was a safety feature. That is, if you pull it by accident, the door doesn't open. The second time you clearly really want to open it, so it works. If this just started happening to you, maybe it's not really meant to be.

It seems pretty common to have issues with the doors. Recently my window doesn't go down automatically, but only sporadically. Earlier I had an issue with my seat memory that supposedly had to do with some European setting. Also, now my remote key only works if I'm standing right next to the car. Audis and their electronics - bah.

no, its the outside door handle, not the inside. The inside always works first pull. Anywho, I squirted a bunch of penetrating oil up into it and it seems to be working right now.
