Default Driver side door won't show

That it's closed in the display and it beeps at me for a bit till it just goes off. The door gets shut tight and it still shows that it's open and beeps. I imagine it's a sensor, is it easy to fix and is it expensive? Thx for the help.

Does the courtesy light on the interior bottom side of the door stay illuminated? If so, then it is the door switch. If this light is only on when the door is actually ajar, then it sounds like it could be a little more difficult to trace down.

It's the connector. When I bought my S4 the lights didn't come on when I opened the driver door, then all the sudden I was driving one day and the dash says my driver door is open.

There is a connector that plugs into the door latch, what happened with mine is the wiring got caught under the window so when it was rolled down it pulled the wires out, but when they touched metal it grounded out so it would trigger the door was open.

To fix mine I found a guy parting out an S4 - paid $10 for the wire connector and spliced it together. It took me about 1/2 hour to fix it. Just make sure if you buy one from somebody they cut you enough wire so you can splice it. I was going to try and buy a whole new piece but it runs thru the door channel under the dash. The easy fix was to just cut out the old one and splice in a new one.

Hope that helps
