so i just bought an s4, and he included a chipped ecu, uninstalled. is it as easy as just plugging it?

 

FYI--people have run chipped on K03's for longer periods of time than 20-30k miles.

 

yea i know i gotta replace some common items, misc. hoses, dv's etc.

however, you mentioned the TT DV, will that be suffiecent enough for now? awe is saying the chip will make it put on 1 bar, 17-18 psi i believe? i didnt know the TT DV could handle that.

 

The chip may or may not just plug in. Most chips need some soldering done to attach the chip to the circuit board of the ECU.

What brand of chip is it? Contact one of your local dealers for that chip and find out what they can do to make it work.

yes there are stage III's running on those DV's

 

some ecu's are flashed and dont have soddered chips or ne of that stuff.

 

i opened up the ecu he gave me, and it has a giac chip sitting in it, so i assume everything was done beforehand. if this is the case, simple plug and play?
