Default dvs?

Hi, I have a 2000 S4. When I go full throttle in any gear, sometimes at about 4000-5000 rpm the power will decrease a little for the rest of the rpm range. This doesn't happen all the time. Are the stock diverter valves leaking too much? 87000 miles now, and i know the turbos are scheduled to fail at some point, but i hope not now! Any help, Thanks!

turbos can last for 180,000 miles or 18miles. List your mods. It sounds like u have throttle cut. If it is you will need a antithrottle cut circuit check vastperformance

yep sounds like u have throttle cut. Yes the dv's are the matching things under the v6 biturbo cover. On the sides of the y pipe. U should get 710n's and check for boost leaks. do u have a boost gauge?

Thanks,
Do the 710's compare well to the forge motorsport dv's, or bailey's? And do you recommend buying the throttle cut circuit check from vastperformance? And no I do not have a boost gauge. Thanks again

Also, are there any complications to change them myself?

i did my own dv's just buy new hoses and clamps. The 710n's are just as good at the listed and much less money. It does sound like u have throttle cut but i would check for a boost leak too. Weh running a chip you should really have a boost gauge.
