Front wheel chatter and other issues
Anyone had any issues with front brake clicking sounds? I had the dealership look over the suspension and brakes...they found nothing. However, they did a brake update (which I found out later was just a fancy word for adding pad lube and cleaning the rotors), but now the mysterious clicking sound is back. It almost sounds like a rotor shield or something like that density due to the "tiny sound" emanating front the front brakes.
Also my friend has a 2000 VW passet VR6 and he talkes about door adjustments. In the Audi maintaince manual there is comments about this as well. However the dealership states there is no just thing...other than prying the door hinges. Yikes!
Why I ask is I am starting to notice chaffing on the driver side door sill and just recently the passenger side sill. The car has never seen winter or rain. Does anyone have any other ideas?
Finally, my heated front headlight sprayers seem to be inoperative. Are they temperature contingent/sensitive? Any way to test them? I understand the head lights must be on and the wiper blades/washer fluid must be in use.

Just had the brake clicking or chatter on my A6 after I switched out the front pads. Did everything the way u r supposed to except I remembered the old inboard pads were hard to get out and the new ones slipped in. I ended up taking the assembly apart again and removing the inboard pad. I spread the 3 clip arms to tighten up the fit within the caliper piston hole and that solved the problem. The factory setting on the inboard pads may not be enough to "snap" them into the caliper piston hole and hold them snugly. If they are not snug they may chatter. Hope that helps
