Default gas station selling 112 octane race gas

A new gas station has opened up on my way to work. I've never stopped but then i noticed a sign that says 112 octane race gas. I checked it out and sure enough on pumps 1-2 you can chose race gas. its 8.99 pg so it got me to thinking.....i have a giac chip with 93 & 100. If i spend the $27 and put 3 gallons of 112, then put 3 gallons on 93 in, will i then have 6 gallons of 102.5 +/- octane?

Its not that im cheap but i just cant get myself to spend $54 on 6 gallons of 112 when i can have 6 gallons of 100+ for $33.

Mixing should be fine and your math is correct, go for it!

Around here theres a few sunoco stations that cell race fuel, and also CW fuels

haha thats a good plan. 9 bucks a gallon is expensive. just be thankful we're not in europe because thats what they're paying for regular! the nearest gas station to me with race gas is almost 2 1/2 hours away. they sell it mainly to people with dirt bikes and quads down there cuz the dunes are right there

Alright....i pumped (no pun intended)
I've never had the car in race program. Should be interesting, although my clutch may not like it.

You can always use Xylene for an octane booster.

Cleans the fuel system well also.

I do similar. My gas station sells vp 110 octane race gas in 5 gallon barrels for 39 bucks. I toss in the 5 gallons of that and then 7 gallons of 93.

Can you notice a considerable difference while in "race" mode?

You are supposed to use 93 octane minimnum.
You can use 100 octane,105 unleaded, will it help, probably not.

If you install an methanol injection kit,,,it will super cool your intake charge & run really good.
