Sooo tonight i was coming back from a party and my friend in his... 03 GTI VR6 6 speed thought it was funn to rip on the highway and tear away. well i stayed back and passed the constuction. and then got on it.
Needless to say i caught him rather quickly within like 20seconds. and passed him doing 150mph (on the GPS). then continued to almost bury the needle on the gauge which is roughly 170-175 according to the notches. HOWEVER!!!!
On my gps at that point i was hitting 162 mph. So i assume at that speeds we can allow the speedo to be off 5-10 mph hahaha.
But yea it was pretty fun and did not endanger any1 but myself.
He said it was a flash of silver and loud noises passing him hahahah

Ahh sleep time, beach in the morning woooo.
S4 FTW, silver is the FASTEST!

 

Ican't even do 5 over the speed limit in Fairfax County Virginia without acop tailing me. We have so F'n many ofcops in marked cars it makes me sick, thenit feels like thereare 2 unmarked copsfor every marked cop. It's justF'n outragious. Now they have civil fee'sassessed on top of all tickets, that are generally $1000 bucks minimium, up to $3000, for stupid stuff, like failure to use a turn signal, passing on the right, or passing on the crest of a hill...

I need to move,I feel like I live in a **** run state...

 

yea it was also at 3am where i did this and the highway was ghost town except for my friend in his GTI. But yea north is nice, but its way different than what you would be used to.

 

I believe the Audi Speedo is +- 10% At either end it's more.

GPS is usually spot on, or +/-3%

 

hehe I'm such I wuss I've only been about 115 in my s4....I always get scared. Guess it's from driving for 2 years with only a few points left on my license.

 

I took mine up to 135 and didnt even leave 6th, in my old car... 1991 subaru legacy i had to redline 4th and slam it into 5th to get it to 115 :P... how fast can these cars go stock? b5 s4 that is

 

i had mine at 145 bu ti heard it's supposed to be 137. 1 was on the 210 in So Cal @ about 2a.m. and no one around the only other time i have gone that fast was in my 72 nova which hit 150 before the front end would start floating.

 

bone stock S4 is "supposedly electronicaly governed to 155, but with the stock power it took a while to get there. Under stock the best i got was about 144ish. Now i got suspension, chip, piggie pipes and blown rear O2 sensors and i dumped her out to 162 liek i said. I deffinatley think with a little more room, thats there is more Speed to be had in the car. Im willing to think under GPS speeding i could reach 175... 180 if its a slight downhill and i odnt have any slight turns or anything.
But i dunno about trying. I think ill stick to just messing around unless i go out to the salt flats or something haha

 

no offense, but VA is prolly the worse state to live in for a sportscar. Those cops are ****'s, 100% sure. My dad got a ticket last month for going 4 over on I-95 in an accord lol. I just laughed. Glad I dont live there

 

is it bad that i changed the radio station and finished drinking my vitamin water also?
