yeah.. syncros bad did kill me.. and not launching properly.. i was trying to be easy on clutch because its been slipping for a while... so first two runs were 14.7.. so i knew i had to make up time for the half a second loss on the 1 to 2 shift.. so i dropped it harder and got a 13.9.. so i figure if i could get more consistent on the launch i might see 13.6 or 13.5.. but the syncros sucked the life out of even the best launch i had.. place was packed.. only got 4 runs in.. i think i coulda done better with a few more runs.. oh.. and the strip temp was 88 degrees..lol.. that sucked too..

 

See I was close I said 13.8 don't worry about it these cars do take some getting used to and the syncros are definatly not on your side. What was you 60 foot times

okay.. so going again to the track friday. i found out when WOT accelerating that if i shift at 5000 then i have no syndro grind, so when i go friday im going to shift that way so that i can see if i get a better time.. im also going to try holding each gear longer as i originally shifted at 6800 when my redline is 7200. and i was always going to fourth right as i crossed the line.. so maybe i can get it down to 13.5 or so..

 

k03's are dead well before 7200.

Rev 1st gear out to about 7k
Bang second out about 6400
and get into 3rd at about low 6's.

 

i will definately try that.. thnx..

 

update.. tried that shift sequence and didnt get any improvement.. got a little slower in fact, i wonder why that is? im pretty sure there are still k03's in the car.. best et's where with shifting at 7200...
.. best run of the night was last run (after 7 runs) and so the car was quite heat soaked, and on pump gas ran a 13.612 at 99.57 mph..
