having a bit of an issue. not much help on the other forums...
problem solved i think....
just wanted to throw this out there since many questions get asked, but few people actually post their solutions so the search really isnt as effective as it could be. I have found this problem while searching endless hours for my current issue.
anyway, the problem is my driveshaft CV most likely both. This is where the vibration came from, and the rattle. When i blocked the driveshaft from spinning in the rear, and twisted on the front, it made a very familiar clicking noise. I knew that had to be the CVs, one or both. There was significant play, could turn the shaft about an inch or so...i dont think its suppose to have any play in it. the ends of the drive shaft, CVs, were very dry as well. probably another reason for the high pitched rattle under throttle.
now all i need is a write up on how to pull the stupid drive shaft out and install new CVs and while im at a center support bearing.
