Default Heavy modding question

so i read all the time about people modding their s4's up to 400+ hp and never read about any problems with the bottom end. does anyone have problems with their motors after modding, with exception to the commons. are the audi's really "bulletproof" in this aspect??

The 2.7T is solid. A rebuild is really uncommon and I've only heard of a guy that constantly races rebuild the bottom end. Also as you mod, a lot of things you put on benefit the engine, causing less stress on some things, but more on others. A lot of guys I've heard have had less problems after modding than stock.

400HP=nuthin for an s4 motor. Once you dump twin GT28RS snails or something similar to that matter then you should start to be concerned.
