Yes Reliability issues are almost non-existant due to the switch over from Turbo(Forced Induction) to a normally aspirated bigger displacement engine(V8 vs V6 Biturbo)
I myself prefer the biturbo over the n/a Model due to the array of Aftermarket goodies out there..
Good Luck with your purchase though I am sure you will be very happy..

AVANT! this is the most versatile car i've ever owned. it's not for everyone so maybe that's why i love it so much. and i don't know how many times i have to post this up, but SPRINT BLUE IS THE ONLY COLOR TO GET ON THE B7! again, not for everyone. that's all i'm going to say.

Just got one in red. Love it. Some minor issues with the CD changer and there's a noise in the back of the car when I start it (I think it's the fuel pump) but other than that it's been good. I had the turbo in my A6 and I prefer the V8. I'm sure they'll catch up on the aftermarket goodies eventually. Not that I can afford any of them after paying 50K for the car.
