Well, it appears I might have ordered the wrong shifter from JHM, as I just assumed that it had the late model shifter since my S4 is of that era (2001.5-2002). WRONG!!! It looks like I have an early model shifter... I made a bonehead move and never checked before ordering ().

So my question is, does anyone know if the late model shifter will work in this case or will I have to get the early model shifter (2000-2001.5) instead. I don't see that much of a difference, other than that white plastic thingy on the top.

Oh, I've already put a call into Jay but it's Sunday so I'm sure he has regular business hours like anyone else. I know I'll hear from him on Monday, but I'm itching to install this thing!!!

 

When i ordered mine i accidentally ordered the wrong one so i emailed jay and he shipped the right one. He might just swap it with you

 

So I take it they aren't interchangable then,huh?

 

if they were i dont think that they would make 2 different versions

 

i have a 1998 s4 , so i don't need to look if i have early model do i?

 

i dont think we had the s4 in the states till like '00
