'02 S6 with 18k replaces '01 allroad. WOW! This one actually goes when you step on the gas! The ultimate bad-*** station wagon. [sm=happybounce.gif]

Here's an interior shot. Normally I wouldn't by a black interior, get's hot in VA in the summer. But this was too hard to pass up with only 18k and CPO. Getting new ContiExtremes on Wed as part of the deal. I'll take some more pics after the new shoes are on and she's cleaned up, kinda dirty now. Hard to keep clean in Winter.

What a beautiful car. I was living in Germany a few years back and had just got my brand new 330Ci out of the break in period, so I took it out on the Autobahn late one night to stretch it out. I was cruising on a deserted stretch with no on ramps right at the governed speed of 132 Mph, and suddenly I see headlights in my rear view, and they were coming up pretty fast. I held my speed and in about 30 seconds an S6 wagon passed me doing well over 145 Mph. It kind of took the wind out of my sails getting passed by a station wagon while doing top speed in my brand new coupe. Like I said beautiful car.

That's funny. The S6 is limited to 155 mph in the US, don't know if the German ones are limited. My other ride is an '01 330Ci convertible. The S6 is awesome but the Bimmer wins in the fun to drive category. Here's a pic:

Is your 330CiC dark green or black. My coupe was dark green, and also had the tan leather. It was gorgeous. I got compliments on it everywhere I went. That is until I tried to sell it. Almost everyone said one of two things. 1. That's beautiful. I wish it was black though. 2. No automatic? No Sport package? No thank you.

It always amazes me how attached most American's are to their freakin auto transmissions. Over 70% of Corvettes are sold with AT. Makes me sick.

Most of the EU automakers follow the gentlemens' agreement to electronically limit thier cars at 155. With a sixth gear, my 01 330 would have done well over that. I'm sure you could rechip them and get rid of the governor, but European inspections are pretty through, and most insurance companies would drop you if they found it. The wagon that blew past me was likely sitting right on his governor just like I was. There are exceptions though. I was just outside frankfurt doing about 110 Mph and a Jag coupe (XJ whatever) and an Aston Martin came racing up behind me like I was standing still. I estimated their speed at around 170. It was like standing on the side of an interstate when they went buy. If anyone ever finds themselves in Germany, shell out the cash and rent a nice car for a day and have some fun. With the way traffic is stacking up there, it won't be long until the unlimited speed limit is a thing of the past.

It's the Oxford Green Met. I may be biased but I think it's the nicest color I've ever seen on a 330 and it's rare. The whites, blues, and blacks are OK but I think the green is more "classy" looking. A friends wife has a red one, she thinks that's what makes it better than mine, I think it's aweful, totally gaudy.

With a well engineered tip/step tranny, there's no need for a manual. Heck, Formula 1 race cars only have two pedals these days. My 330 in sport mode is great, crisp upshifts/downshifts and will hold a gear when pushed even a little. A Vette with a straight auto tranny and no tip/step type override is a no-no.

Yeah, but the gearboxes on F1 cars are on a completely different level... there really is no comparison.

went to a cadillac test drive, and the guy there said that ther is nothing like the feeling of harnessing 600+ hp in a 1000 lb car, with a tip tranny that shifts faster than humanly possible...

god damn...
