Default hey guys need help!

hey guys I just finally made an account because i always read forums but never post but i'm having alot of problems with my audis, the most recent one i wanted to ask for some help. It's a stock s4 2.7l biturbo 2000 and i was hoping someone could tell me why at like 2 grand rpm it whines loudly i think it does it more-so when it's hot but relatively the same noise i recently got it worked on and replaced starter and ignition switch if anyone can give me any idea i'd appreciate it vastly

So you sent it into a shop to get the sound fixed, the shop replaced the starter and ignition switch, didn't fix the problem and still charged you for it? What kinda crap is that? Take it back to them and tell them to get it done man.
Noises are uber hard for us to diagnose without at least hearing the noise, or getting a description of what exactly it sounds like.

no i took it to the shop there was no noise now there is but it wasnt until a week after may not be related to the ignition problems i had it whines from 2k rpm up like ur stepping on a cat lol air leak? some oil is on the passenger side of the engine if it the turbos would u recommend a turbo rebuild kit or or new turbos? or is there an easier fix? also to take them out do you need any audi specific tools? once we get it on a lift i think we can put the turbos on just looking for some advice i don't have alot of money bought the car on a whim and have an a4 in my driveway as well ^_^ also one more thing if the turbos are going out will it cause damage driving it?

125k on car

sounds like maybe a boost leak.. get a boost gauge and make sure your reaching proper boost.. stock is like 8 psi. if it goes to 10 or 11 and then comes back down and fluctuates its a leak somewhere...

now my question is do you think it will need a whole new turbo or maybe a rebuild kit?

slow down buddy.. get a boost gauge and go from there... you could have a busted TBB or another hose in the pressure side of the system could be split.. you may not need a turbo at all.. lets find the problem first, then decide what the resolution would be...

ok at least i know it's not the turbo but i do have to say that there was oil sprayed up on the side of the engine on the passenger side does that seem more like a hose or more like ? tell me what the boost gauge would tell me and what i should look for. thx again guys

boost gauge is going to let you know how much boost your getting. after 2500 rpms with k03's you should be getting 8 psi steadily till shift at WOT.. if your not getting that.. then you have a boost leak.. need to get that fixed asap as your performance will suffer and youll for sure blow a turbo..
