sooo if my old HID's are going...would new bulbs (approx. 4300k maybe 5000k) brighten up my night? Or am I gonna need new ballasts?

I wish my HID's would stay the same color as when they initially burn (immediately turning on the lights)

Well my interest at this point would be converting my fogs to HID.. Do you know what is necessary for that. How it could be mounted (the ballast) and running the switch..would it wire up to the existing fog switch?

If your bulbs have become dull, you might want to look into replacing them. You shouldn't need to replace the ballasts.

We would recommend going with a pair of our 6000K, as they are bery bright and white.

Thanks in advance

We offer standard connectors and relays with our kits. So, you could either connect directly to the fog switch or to the battery.

The ballast can be easily mounted with our secure mounting brackets.

Thanks in advance

also, do you know what steps would need to be taken that i could have it wired indepndently to the headlights. what i mean is that the fogs will only come on if the headlights are on.. i would like to run them when my headlights are off as well independently. i know it can be done now but it involves making some cuts to a box in the glovebox, would that still be necessary.

That's difficult to say without actually seeing the vehicle configuration.

You can definitely do it, but you should probably check with an Audi tech on how to do it.

Stay with Philips or Osram (Sylvania) bulbs. That being said. I upgraded my last TTqR with a 50watt Auerawld balast. Here is the tech artical I did on it with pics. It will answer your questions.50 watt Hid system.
