Default HID out, best replacement

Alright so my HID went out last night and autozone wanted 148 for the same bulb...one bulb..which i thought was a little outrageous. Does anyone know where to get some cheaper ones? Id like to replace both at a higher temp but if anyone knows where to get the factory for cheap then ill just go that route. The one from autozone will be here in the morning but I can still return it if i can find something cheaper online.

Anything helps!

Thanks,
Brandon

do not use 10,000k bulbs... those are extremely annoying for other driver. Not to mention the actually put out less light. Many people think a high k rate is the brightness when it is actually the color rating. The best bulb to get is between 4200-5000k. Please don't waste you time with a 10,000k bulbs... unless you like getting pulled over by cops.

10,000K look very nice though, that I will admit. I have 8000k and they put out the same amount of light as my stock D2S bulbs. If I need more light, I just turn on my fogs.

I thought I read somewhere that anything over 6000k is illegal. Cause they are too blue to purple and are distracting or something. I had 6000ks and they looked good but I think 10,000k is just to purplish and you may get hasseled.

yeah also get some ecodes, mmmmmm love ecodes got mine for 350'dy, i second the 6000k or stock, i hate people with the purple or superblue look that tints your bulb housing.

Ya I thoroughly looked before i went ahead and purchased the 10k's. They are what I want for sure. And ur right about the less light but my fogs are bright enough so im not too worried, besides I live in a city so light isnt a problem. Thanks for the input though. But if anyone needs some HID's then go to mod bargains.com..the lowest they have is 8,000k but they are the DS2's and its only 57 bucks for a pair vrs 147 for one stocky at autozone. I personally really like the blue look, they should look more blue than purple. I will post a pic as soon as i get them in, they should get here within the hour but I have to work so I will be putting them in on my break. Ill post a pic from my phone tonight though

Oh and does anyone have any pointers on putting them in? I know you cant touch the bulb due to oil getting on the bulb and causing it to fail but when i took the old one out, the passenger side housing looked different from the drivers side, is this normal or has it been replaced? Im going to be doing it in the parking lot of my work so if i need any tools then ill be SOL

Just my luck, They sent me D1C bulbs instead of the D2S's. I have to overnight the to them before they will ship my right ones out. It was their screw up but now I am paying for it, they are going to reimburse me for the overnight shipping but its been a week since I ordered them and now its gonna be another week...
