Default HID's stolen!?

Has this happend to anyone? I had parked my car on a fairly busy street in the city and came out after a night of drinking, had noticed my car...HAS NO HEADLIGHTS!! After talking to the cops and insurance and such apparently it happens alot around here and they use them for stun guns!? Wouldnt it make more sense to just sell them for the grand that they're worth? ANyways i wondered, since it seems pretty easy to bend the aluminum fenders out of the way that this could easily happen again, how can i prevent it from happening? IS there an alarm or something that would go off if someone started jacking around on my lights? Sorry for the long post but help! Cant afford the $500 deductable more than once!

Wow, that really sucks. It actually happens quite often to S4's. You may want to invest in an aftermarket system with a proximety sensor.

My xenons were just recently stolen also. It's an epidemic with all xenon equipped cars, not just Audi. Unfortunately, they can be removed in less than a minute. Not much you can do but get an alarm with proximity sensor and annoy everyone who walks by it.

The truth is, you can't really prevent car thieves from getting what they want.
