Have someone else with a trailer bring it for you. Pay them to do it, dont ruine a s4 with a trailer hitch

dude in my town's got a Z-06 vette with a hitch. town quads and jet skis in the summer and in the winter he town a couple sleds. rochester, ny...more salt on the roads than the bonneville flats. oh, btw boyd cottington rims with directional snows. go ahead and thorw a hitch on it fot the slicks, ive though about doing the same thing for a tire carrier. i dont see it as ruining an s4, its more like helping it do what it was built to do...get the crap beaten out of it on track day. ruining it would be something like...throwing a rediculous wing on the trunk or slapping on a $300 exhaust that sounds like $#!7 just cuz it was cheap. (sorry...rant)

I have a Z06 with a hitch for the track as well, no problems. Pulling a trailer is the least damaging thing that happens to it on a track weekend. So the original question stands (please, no more unrealistic advice about F350s and servile friends), has anyone hung a hitch on there S4, and what is involved? The Z06 was a quick drill, bolt, and crimp job, but a quick look underneath leads me to believe that the S4 will be more involved

I am interested in this as well. I want to put a (I think its a Yakima) bike rack (that will swing out of the way of my hatch) on the back (that attaches by way of a hitch) and still be able to put my canoe and possibly a small Thule luggage rack on top (not necissarily at the same time)...I don't see why this is an issue either (re - ruining an S4)...I see my Avant as the ultimate in practicality (that will dust most anything on the road...even with a canoe on top!)
