only have 800 miles on mine, have been driving like an idiot (not redline, but not mileage aware either)...and havent done manual calcs....but computer shows 19.7mpg and i just filled up 14 gal and trip odo showed 280 miles (so 20mpg)...i do Phoenix commute in stop and go...sometimes 5mph, sometimes 50mph.....outside of traffic i've had my foot into it well (hypothetically 4th gear does 105mph easy)....drive in "auto" most of the time, vs. dynamic, have the 7spd dsg, temps have been in the 50-70* range (think cold is big factor for all city driving and short trips)....definately think you should get more than that unless you're in 30* weather doing 4 mile trips.

Default 23 mpg

I also have a 2012 S4 (only 600 miles so far).

My driving has been some around the town...but commute to work is straight highway...never any traffic.

My 07 BMW 335i used to get 22 MPG--so I have been pleasantly surprised with the 23 MPG.
