how do you afford these expensive s4s?
I agree with the thought - but in my mind I modify the question a bit to: "how can all of these young people afford S4s?" You see - I'm an old dude...I will be retireing in the next 10 years if not sooner...and I've been working in serious professional (government) jobs since I was 18. I'm also not house poor - which can be a factor otherwise limiting one's discresionary entertainment budjet...also my wife works and is paid well...always helps (a great deal)....
in response to roadhawk, who i don't know him, but have seen posts; i am "house poor" and will not entertain a mortage for a few years.
now, i work for the government as an enlisted man. now go a head, say that we are over paid, but i made my bank in the clinton days for those ultra liberal minded retards who can't believe the first 1 1/2 years of progress were bush sr.
before all the osama crap and afganistani b/s started, i was on the road no less than 180 day a year because of yours sincerely, Mr. Hussein. every holiday season starting in 94 i would wander my *** to the desert because that jack off loved to talk **** over our holidays only to stop during rahmadan. so, for the better part of a decade, i (and many others of different career fields) would jauntier off, and play in the sand sans familia. i believe i earned my pay.

i used to stick up quik-e marts and steal change from bums, but then i finished school in january so i went to work as a vw tech and like sooks said, managed the money. ive been wanting a b5 since the first magazine article i read about it back in 99, and deciede to get myself a graduation present. i found this one, sold my truck at a loss, paid for about a third of it and financed the rest. luckily an old dude owned it before me and the feak had every service record and recipt, including all the mods (just shy of stg II)he did. but now im a valvetrain engineering technician (i test cam phasers), beats the hell out of workin in a shop.

350 a month for rent.....that makes me cry. Mine is almost four times that.
I have invested 15 yrs in the government, so I thought I d treat myself to a nice car after yrs of hondas and ford mustangs. Now i'm hooked on s4 crack. I have a 2002 S4 with some mods. I love the car but not the maintenance bills. Its spendy but, damn its fasst.
