How in the hell can I hook up subs
Alright well I took my s4 to bestbuy to buy a 12 and get them to put it in and they told me that they will not work on audis. They said they are too complicated and tight to work with. I am wanting to hook up a amp and a sub to my stock stereo. Does anyone know how to do this? I replaced my 2 rear speakers in the back dash but they just dont put out enough bass. And they bass they do put out isnt low enough. Any ideas?

well obviously they know nothing about stereo installation...Im not a profressional but i do know how to do it
Your going to need a amp kit, which consist of the power wire, ground and remote. run those from the front of your car to the back. red power to the battery, black will be grounded from the amp to somewhere in the trunk that has a good ground, remote wire from the head unit to the back. door sills to under the seat to the trunk. You need a LOC, line output connector. plug one side to amp, the other side you tap into the rear speakers. this is if you still have the factory head unit and have no place to plug your rc cables.

Ive put subs in an older car i had but i changed the headunit in the process...Quick question though where does the remote wire run to? do you know which wire I have to tap into at the stock head unit to run it to? And also the LOC. I can get that a bestbuy correct? and then i run the rca cables to that then i run the other side into my rear speakers in the back dash?
You should do something like this... Dual 10" subs and dual phoneix gold amps, cap, etc... all in the sidewall of the trunk. I only lost like 1/2" of trunk space on each side...still have full access to the spare and everything. Sounds AWESOME and im driving it with the stock deck at the moment. 2005.5 S4

If you are getting a aftermarket radio the remote wire will be obvious. it should have a tag on it or the wire itself will say remote, or its the blue one. yes best buy should have loc, if not any stereo shop should. As for the factory unit, im guess you have a factory amp, you gone have to tap into a remote wire that goes there.
