How to make 2004 S4 faster??!
there are dp's for your car. if I rember correctly you can get the piggie N/A dp's for them.
baskin 4.2 has a chip in his car and his car was able to keep up with my 2.7T
I know a few people with the B7 S4 that got custom chips from vast and they seemed pritty lively. maybe you could get a race file for it?
I know chipping a N/A car is much harder and gives less power thab a turbo car but it still is extra hp

anyone ever heard of putting the rs6 turbos on the b6 4.2? ... or will they simply just not fit in the engine compartment..... if it is possible i'd rather go that rout than the blower....
i have not heard or seen anything except for the MTM supercharger for the B6 or B7 S4. I have browsed around and didnt come up with anything. so as of right now the only things i know that you can do is chip it, exhaust, downpipes, intake, and the supercharger like i mentioned before. i dont think that the S4 4.2 V8 is compatable with the RS6 turbos. Good luck hunting for upgrades!
Yeah, the aftermarket is a bit limited for the B6/B7s. Being NA makes it a bit hard to make big power. The MTM supercharger is ridiculously overpriced, though. Come on, $20,000 for a superchager? It better be made of gold.....
My B7 is in the shop right now getting full Miltek set up, intake, Revo chip and Bilstein PSS9 suspension. I'll let you know how it goes. Next will be brakes, once I get used to the extra power and recover from the big cash hit. By the way, went with Revo because you can easily switch the ECU back to stock before taking the car into the dealer.
LOSE WEIGHT FATTY! unless you want to spend tons of money on this car, there is no other simple solution than striping weight from it. lighter wheels/brakes, carbon fiber hood, dump the recaro seats(approx 75lbs)......strip it, or get a lighter, sportier, less luxurious car.

if you put turbos on it you better be pennying up with the rods and pistons and all seals cause N/A car is not made for turbos you will have leaks everywhere...

There is honestly no fantastic way to get huge power numbers from the S4. You can do the traditional bolt ons, but even getting past 400 horsepower is a big achievement in the B6s/B7s and it really won't be that fast. I bet it won't even be as fast as a B7 RS4.
I have the full Miltek Chip, Intake, Coilovers, 19" and more and the car goes pretty good. It's a different feel than the past 5 turbo cars I owned. Even with these mods the car does feel slow to me too - but I think I know why... First, no to very little wheel spin, second the car feels like it could handle another 100hp no problem, you seem to be in complete control even with 5 K launches - it's very predictable.
My friend has a twin turboed GTO which dynoed 780 at the wheels... the car makes sooo much power is a joke to race on the steet (1,2,3 gears) on the track or the highway - well that another story.
You'll love the car with the mods. It's may not be the fastest drag car but it stops, corners, provides a decent ride and will hang with most.

The exhaust does sound sweet...
