How many miles are on your s4? How long do you expect yours to last?

ive driven a B5 S4 with 110,000 miles, and the still ran strong

was that a stock turbo? Any mods?

i bought my 2001.5 audi s4 with 57,000miles on it... and now i have around 62,000miles ...
Its still running beautifully... my friend at audi helped me out and i got all parts replaced for new ones, trans, clutch, suspension,... hehe soo its all good for me

yeah lucky you got a guy at audi or trans/clutch/suspension wouldve cost you a ton. how much of a discount did you get and did you actually do a full swap for all of those?

not sure how long this engine is gonna last...it was introduced to the american market in what? 2000? that engine stopped production in the s4 in 02 and stopped on the a6 in 04. so the engines been produced for 4 years max. someone with a 2000 would still have only had this engine for 5-6 years max...hard to say how much longer they will last, from no long term tests..

So these cars require a tranny/clutch and suspension rebuild at around 60k miles??? If this is the case I will definatly not be buying one at all because the one's I'm looking at all have around 30-70k miles on them and I'm not going to pay around 20k for a car that will run for 10k more miles???

Please tell me that I am taking this the wrong way....

No, definitely taking it the wrong way.

Take care of the car and it will just fine.

You are hit and miss with a car that will almost never need anything and getting one that needs something or other periodically.
A little vague I know, just get one with an extended warranty and do maintanance and preventitive maintanance.

Also, if anything ever does need to be replaced, do a performance upgrade!

I'm a little over 3,000 so far.. No major problems to report. (At 3K, I'd bloody well hope not)
