500k is stock and it is not yellow it is white when you go to 3000k that will be yellow and i dont dig that at all..im going with the 8 or 10k cause i like the blue even though i will probably get harrassed by the law enforcement dicks in this city seeing how they like my s4 and pull me over every chance they get..

Those are the bulb type (D2S) you need, but having purple headlights is mucho ricerifico. To each his own though. I will put up a picture of my lights so you can see what they look like.

5000K is not stock, 4300K is, same on all factory HID equipped vehicles.

I wasn't battling anyone, the only DOT approved color temp is 4300K, there are no new cars that utilize 5000k on US roads.

Even though 5000K is a bit more pleasing to the eye, it is not quite as bright as a 4300K bulb.

Philips is the only REPUTABLEcompany to make a color temp bulb of anything other than 4300K, they are called Philips Ultinons, and they are 6000K, they were never meant for factory use, only aftermarket.

However, since HID dims and blues over time (read: colorshift, happens after about 200 hours of use), factory replacements have a slightly different part number than a stock equipped bulb. The bulbs that came in our cars are Philips 85122's, if you blow one, and go to the dealer to get a new one, they should give you a Philips 85122+'s, they are rated at about 4800K (closer to 5000K than 4800K), and will appear to match your older good bulb since it has likely colorshifted already. The 85122+'s are highly sought after, because they will not colorshift at all, and appear pure white with a hint of blue, instead of white with a hint of yellow like the factory 85122's.

Hence the reason I have eight 85122+'s in my garage.

They are hard to find, but if you do find them, they are worth the extra dough, if you like seeing at night. (I'd be willing to trade a set or two for some lowering springs for my car....) They normally go for $150 each new.

Those are the bulbs I was talking about. They sell on ebay for 100 per pair.
