lets say i add on some asp DP's and Ko4's to my existing mods. what kind of power do you guys think id be getting? my guesstimate was 420-430 horse and maybe 450-460 torque.

 

well lets say you add fueling and a maf and a new clutch if you dont have an upgraded then you can that kind of horsepower and beable to use it.

 

k04s dont add hp/tq. they only allow you to create those numbers with supporting mods. on what you have, the GIAC chip will still request the same boost, no more. so you will have the same power as if you just add DPs...maybe around 330-340hp. if you dont plan on adding fueling, and you k03s are still good, save the money and keep k03s.

 

oh, damn. someone told me that ko4's alone would add about 80 hp. they are larger so it would make sense. ive got 103k and even though theres no reason to be im paranoid that they will blow on me one day when im on my 4 hour trip home.

i was also definitely gona put in a new clutch/flywheel in at the same time haha.

 

iv got 68k on m k03's and am worried, so much that i just bought k04's

Once i have the rest of the parts to do the install ill get an mbc and giacx and run my k03's to 20+ psi with closed wastegates untill they blow.

 

Now that sounds like fun!

I'll have to agree on the k04s alone not adding any HP or Torque.

Actually when I first installed my k04s with just my APR 93 oct. tune, the only thing I picked up was more lag at lower rpms.

But I did lose a little bit of "taper" (held 15-17 to redline).

 

boost is boost.. k04 may deliver boost slightly different but your tune is still asking for 15 to 17 psi .. so wastegate and or throttle will control that.. your peaks or spike and yes probably lag and spool time will be different.. and it wont sweat as much making that boost.. ; )
