Hybrids Going In

i did that already....the axle is unbolted, i just dont know how to get it out after that or just get it to hang. where does it exactly disconnect after the bolts are off?

Oh you already have the bolts out but don't know how to get the axle out of the tranny?

the axle is just two flanges that bolt together, once all the bolts are out they should seperate with little or no effort, chances are you have a little corroision holding you back, if need be try a get a hammer and chisel in there and try very gently to seperate them with that. and the little shield is just held on with bolts

yea i got two of the bolts to the shield off and cant get the top one off....I cant figure out any way to get to the top bolt.

If I remember, I took the heatshields off the turbos and that might free up a little room, the axle shields came off pretty easy for me. But I definately had it up in the air on the lift. They should just swing out pretty easy though, try swinging the wheel side to side to get a little more clearance and the axle should fall down out of the way and give you more access to the shield.

i got the axel shield off and now im trying to get the turbo head shields off.....did you take them out from above or below?
