Default Hydrogen Generator on an S4

I'm reading a lot of hype about hydrogen boosters and how they can increase your mileage by 20-50%. My brother has 2 coworkers that have them and they get about 15%. You can buy a complete kit for about $185. It's a pretty simple concept removing pure hydrogen from water using electrolysis. What do you guys think? I'm not a chemist so I don't know about long term effects, especially with turbos.

that's not an issue really, every engine works the same, something as drastic as seperating the particles would affect any engine no matter what, it's more arranging the "hydrogen booster" so it doesn't prevent airflow

... but i know i wouldn't put home depot plastic plumbing in my s4 tho

I have an old 93 Saab, I can use it as a guinea pig to see if the hype is true. Anyone know of a good kit, or a cheaper DIY kit?

just check on google, there are plenty of sites that have instructions, choose which one you think would work best for the car

is it NA or turbo?

There are some kits that are a ton better then those home depot garbage you see. For starters if you get one of the commercial kits usually they generate more hydrogen and they look much more professional. Hydrogen will not hurt any car that runs on gas. All it does is make the A/F mixture more combustible and uses less gas.

Sorry guys, I've been out for a few days with no email. Most of the instructions say to insert the tube from the generator into the intake before the MAF. Is there any way the hydrogen could hurt the MAF?

I'm happy with the responses so I think I'll try it. I was expecting to get flamed for suggesting something so crazy on our beloved S4s. I'm with you guys tho, I don't want a mason jar or coke bottle under my hood. I want a professional looking tank that holds at least 1 gallon of water so I only have to fill it up once per tank of gas.

It's NA, so it wouldn't be super accurate, but it would be worth a shot
