OK, I just baught a 2000 S4. It has some mods and I jsut want to figure a few things out, and see if anyone here happens to know the previous owner.

mods are:

Koni coil overs
Spec clutch and aluminum flywheel
stoptech brakes
forge motorsports catback
forge motorsports diverter valves
APR tune
XXXX brand short shifter
H&R sway bars
carbon fiber hood (which I do not like and want to get a stock hood)
and probably a few other mods I am missing...

Here is my question, on the APR tune, how do I know what is what? I don't want to go and change the tune and hurt the car (say put it on a race gas tune with pump gas) and can you still use cruise control with the tune?

One last question, my shocks are yellow (I beleive they are konis) and they have blue coil over springs on them. Does anyone know what kind of kit this is?

It depends on the program you have on your chip, if you push and hold the cruise control button, you should get a engine warning flash after five seconds like beep 1sec later beep for 5 times, if there is a second program after the fifth beep, it will flash twice indicating its in the second program , for the third it will flash three times, beep beep beep, 1 sec pause beep beep beep. that would assume you had 3 programs installed, ie stock, 91 or93 oct, and 100 race gas program. Your cruise control will function normally and you can change programs on the fly which is also cool. Now for as the race gas question, it will not hurt the car one bit if youre in stock or 91,93 oct mode, but if you put it on the race program and have regular pump gas you will get a hellacious pinging noise coming from the valves which is bad. As for the shock question, I believe koni shocks and struts are white, and from my experience Bilstein are yellow, just a thought. Dont have a clue on the actual spring. Hope this helped you.

How much would u sell the cf hood 4?

I may trade it for a stocker with a local. I got a little bit of lear coat peeling on the front bumper, and they are going to give me a matching hood, and get my bumper sanded and cleared. It's still up in the air though, so I will let you know!
