I think i made a mistake...
Yeah, getting an extended warrenty is what lots highly suggested me to do. The guy I bought it from told me that I do not want to have this car without an extended warrenty. He said it was well worth it and went way over what he paid for, for the warrenty. When s4 shopping I've noticed that too. Lots of sellers that included the extended warrenty said something like "trust me you don't want to be without it." or "you would NEED a extended warrenty on this car." I need to look into that as well. Any good suggestions on who to go with? But if you plan to do a high level of modifications forget it. They don't warrenty if they find out that there is a chip or upgraded turbos. I want to upgrade my turbo. So I don't know if I should get the warrenty gotta look more into that.
Thanks for all the info guys! Its really been helpful. Ive decided to keep my s4 and i just have a few more questions. I already have the extended warrenty which covers blown turbos correct? But if i just do exterior things and something like Filter/exhaust/chip, would that void my warrenty dealing with the turbos? How bout just exterior and the chip alone? Thanks again guys for all your help.
A chip will definitely void the warranty. Basically, if you think an upgrade will void the warranty, it probly will. However, there are a few out there (like GIAC) that claim to have different modes you can select such that the dealers won't detect a chip change. But if you're anything like me, you won't do it on the off-chance that they actually DO find out.
There are still alot of things that you can do without voiding the warranty, but if you wanna get the real power you're gonna have to sack up and forget the warranty.

I chipped mine and love the extra power. But the risk of turbo failure is higher and the car is pretty fast stock. Turbo failure is certainly not guaranteed with a chipped car. Ther a LOTS of people with high milage and chiped cars. It is just a higher risk. You seemed to very concerned about blown turbos and a $6000 bill to replace them. I am willing to take that risk for the performance. Many many people are. But if you are really concerned about your warrenty and blown turbos, you may want to hold off because that will definitely void your warrenty. And a dealer may no be so dumb to not realize you chipped it.
I put in an APR chip which I have read is a tiny bit slower than a GIAC, but I believe it is because it over stresses the turbo's just a bit less. With extra charge, I got the ability to set to stock mode with the cruise control button. However, if you blow the turbo's the dealer could still look at the ECU and see either the chip or realize the history is not all there or something. So if you REALLY want to be undetectable by the dealer, you need to get a 2nd ECU and install that with the chip. Then if you want to return it to stock, swap the original back in.

Thanks for the info again guys! I'm liking what I'm hearing! If I get a second ECU and put the chip on that one, and my turbos blow, but before i take it in i put the old original ECU back they cant say i tampered with it correct? And I was also thinking about doing a full exhaust and intake. If i do these things, and change them back to stock before any serious servicing would everything be OK also? Thanks for the info guys, and if i could possibly do this "swapping" without getting caught you will see my s4 tuned very quickly!
Yeah I just bought a spare ecu from Audi through a local shop, sent the ECU to APR (make damn sure APR knows its a new spare ecu so they can code it or else the ecu won't know what to do with the ecs and abs) APR charges $50 to code it but it's better than AUDI doing it, less chance to void your warranty.
I asked the maintenance people at my local dealer what the deal is with the turbos going out. He said to stick with the factory covered 10,000 mile maintenance and oil changes until it runs out, then to protect yourself, just get an oil change every 5k miles with the synthetic oil. He said 98% of the problems they run into are because of people not taking care of their car properly and keeping up with regularly scheduled maintenance and fluid changes.
