Default I want your opinion

I am thinking of putting a GIAC chip in my 01.5 S4 6speed. The catch is, the car has 75k miles on it. Do you guys think it has too much milage on it? It has the original turbos on it, I have an extended warranty that covers the turbos for about another 18 months.

My opinion is chip it. But, you will void your extended warranty. Your choice.

I agree.. Chip is def like getting a whole new car...
but your warranty is out the door...man another 18 months still?
I'd do all your other stuff like - Bipipe / DV's
etc to help the turbos out when u do eventually get chipped...

Well, if he gets the chip and a stock mode option, can he change it back to stock when he takes it to the dealer without them finding out?

BTW: turbo budda... your car is hot, damn

I am not worried about voiding the warranty, it is an aftermarket one (not Audi). They would have no way of knowing if it is chipped unless the dealer tells them. I don't feel the dealer would say anything, I know them well. Plus, I will get the stock program to. I was more afraid of damaging the car, with the high milage.
Thanks for the replies.

Well... Go for it, you will enjoy every second of it.
I have GIAC X chip in my 01.5 S4 for more than 40000 miles on stock
turbo and still no reliability issues (yet). Has you have probably read on
this forum. Make sure to lower oil temp before turning the switch off
+ raise oil temp before pushing the pedal to the metal.
ENJOY !!!

Aftermarket warrenties should cover the car even if it's chipped.
They would have to prove the chip did the damage, and of course
know that you did chip it, you can always say it's been that way
since you got it.

Seriously, once you chip the car, you will NEVER go back to stock!

HP is like CRACK!

Well I pulled the trigger. Sent my ECU to AWE this morning. Hopefully I'll get it back on Thursday, so I can start enjoying it.
Thanks for the opinions
