My 2001 S4 manual says it is pre-threaded for the LATCH anchors, but the LATCH system itself is not installed (obviously I'm expecting a baby). How (and where) can I buy the LATCH installation for it? And how easy is it to install?

Call your Audi dealer. There is Audi Service Info where Audi pays for the parts and the installation. I have had it done in two different cars. If your dealer can't find the info let me know and I'll get the service number for you.

yes, it was very helpful thank you very much. I called Audi and the service manager agreed (but did not schedule anything) and transferred me to parts to order the parts (apparently they don't keep 2001 S4 LATCH kits in stock ). The parts manager told me the Audi Service Info is no longer in effect, and said they would run about $20. I'm not too worried about paying $20 for it, but I am wondering if he was right. Can anyone confirm this?

 

now Audi is saying that to install, it will cost $98, plus the $20 for the part, and that the service info is no longer in effect. Can anyone confirm that the service info is expired?
