Hi,

I have a 2000 audi s4 and i went to go start my car today and when i put the car in Drive it Went blank and now it doesnt even go on at all. before this a couple of the pixels would sometimes go blank and sometimes it would be solid.

anyone have any ideas???

 

Did you push the button under you windshield wiper control?

 

yeah thats the reset button and nothing happened. It just doesnt make any sense because when i start the car it says push brake pedle before shifting gears or w.e. the startup says. Then when i shift it in drive the whole screen goes blank.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Also do you know if audi sells the instrument clusters new???

 

The only thing I can think of is maybe a bad fuse or a short of some kind. I don’t know I'm not real technical savvy on electrical components.

 

oh audi sells the new clusters but they are way way to much for what they do. best way to get a new one is look for a old cluster on ebay and pick that up and get it from there.
