Never used those before but looks like say a neuspeed Side mount or something. IMO dont go with EBAY on this stuff!

Since you are paying that much might as well go with a brand that backs a warranty and reputation.

Let me know what you figure out!

I considered buying those as well. I have used two ebay intercoolers on other cars, worked just fine.

If you get them, please let me know how they are on fitment, I'm curious if there will be much bumper chopping.

Im sure they work, but when putting anything on or in my car i want to have faith that it is a quality product and is going to give me the performance gain (or whatever) im looking for. AWE is $1400 so youre saving close to $1000 if your comparing the two. If it were me, i would not buy them. just my $.02

I would be fearfull if it were a moving part, or a weight bearing part, but it's just an intercooler.

Even if it leaks boost, I would have spent, $400, and paid my local machine shop $40 to weld some spots, I still would be making out like a bandit.

thats very very true.

I just know i wont be satisfied untill i tuck a pair of these badboys up in there. peace of mind is worth more to me than saving some loot. I just have a hard time believeing a company on ebay that iv never heard of can make a product that exibits the same quality and performance as a product designed, engineered, and tested by a well known company that is trusted by the audi community. Plus just as adam said a warrente can be a valueable thing. If someone can show me some proof that these ebay IC's are a worthwile alternative to AWE or ER id be all over it. But to me you get what you pay for and if i wanted to save some money i would never had sold my old car for an s4 in the first place.

I hear you........I guess I will have to be the one to put up or shut up......I will purchase a set, dyno before and after for you guys. As well as pressure test them. Then I guess theres no questions.

See, the way I see it, most intercooler cores all come from two, to three sources, and all are reputable, with ARC being on the top of the food chain based on thier Wave-cool design. And, since they must do at least SOME fitment/engineering to make the inlet/outlets in the right position, I would say I will trust them as far as to try them out.

We shall see.

I don't have access to any logging equipment. So, it will get dyno'd........that will be definitive proof of power gained.
